Frequently asked questions

For everyone

Does Crewy replace Robaws?

No. Robaws stays the source for projects, work orders, articles and invoices. Crewy reads the planning and writes back hours, material lines and, once the office approves, extra work. What the crew and the office discuss stays in Crewy. You work next to Robaws, not instead of it.

Where do the photos go?

Into Crewy, with the job where they were taken. Photos never go to Robaws. You find them in the conversation and the job file, with caption and date, even two years later. Whoever has no access to the job does not see them.

What do the seats cost?

A Field seat is € 19 per person per month and an Office seat € 49, excluding VAT and cancellable monthly. Field is for everyone with the app: workers and foremen. Office is for whoever plans and checks in the web app. Voice, translation and the morning round are included in both seats.

Which languages does the app speak?

In several languages: Dutch, Polish, Ukrainian, Romanian, French, English, German and Spanish. Everyone picks their own language. Messages and announcements are translated, with Show original underneath. Names, addresses and project codes are never translated, and the office keeps working in Dutch.

What happens to my voice?

Your voice is transcribed and then not stored. From the text the app makes a proposal, for example 7.5 hours and a note on the work order. You first see what the app understood and confirm it yourself. If you prefer typing, that always works.

Does the app book hours by itself?

No. The app always makes a proposal: from what you say, from the planning or from your own pattern. Only when you tap Confirm do the hours go to Robaws. After that you see the status and can still undo it.

What does the office see every morning?

At seven, five checks run: work orders with deviations, gaps in the planning, who booked no hours yesterday, jobs going over the budgeted hours and questions still open. Every line names its source and has one button to act on it. The same round arrives by email.

Does it work without signal?

Yes, for typing and booking. Without signal, hours, materials and messages go into a queue on the phone; as soon as you have signal again, everything is sent. Speaking in only works with signal, because the voice is transcribed online.

For the office

What is a deviation on a work order?

A line that does not match the planning or the rest of the day: more than ten hours in one day, hours on an unplanned day, materials without hours or a photo without a note. Crewy flags it when loading work orders, with the source. You decide: approve anyway or ask the worker.

How does extra work from the field work?

If a worker mentions something that is not in the quote, the app sets it up as a draft for the office, with what was said and the quote it was compared with. The office picks Approve, Reject or Ask back. Only after approval does the extra work go to Robaws.

Who gets the morning email?

Admins and planners, at seven, only on days with at least one point of attention. The email has the same five lines as the button Where do we stand, each linking to the filtered page. A planner gets no money line, and the email never shows amounts.

Who sees amounts?

By default only the admin. Planners see planning, hours and work orders without money; foremen see their crew; workers their own work and hours. In settings you can give the right to see amounts to another role. The crew app never shows amounts.
